Where Synapseir Came From

Synapseir started in Bangkok in 2020 with a straightforward observation: most people curious about AI development had nowhere good to start. Online resources were either too shallow to be useful or too dense to follow without a background in mathematics or software engineering. Somewhere in between — that's where learners were getting stuck.

The founding team, a group of data practitioners and educators with experience in both industry and teaching, decided to build what they wished had existed when they were learning. The result was a course structure modelled on the actual working environment: notebook-style cells, annotated examples, and projects that produce something concrete at each stage.

Since 2020, Synapseir has grown steadily through word of mouth, serving learners across Thailand and the wider Southeast Asia region. All programs remain online and self-paced, with mentor support at every track level.

What We Stand For

Honest Pacing

Learning AI development takes time. We design tracks that respect that reality and don't make promises about speed or outcomes. Steady progress, at your own pace, is the goal.

Practical over Theoretical

Concepts are introduced through code, not slides. Every topic connects to something you can build or run. Theory comes in context, not ahead of it.

Mentor Presence

A question left unanswered can stall progress for weeks. Our programs keep mentors close — available for async feedback on code and, at the Mentorship track, for regular one-to-one sessions.

People Behind the Programs

Our instructors and mentors come from data science, software engineering, and education backgrounds — all with time working on applied ML in the region.

NK

Nattakarn Kiewsiri

// Curriculum Lead

Former data engineer at a Bangkok fintech firm. Designs the track structure and reviews all learning materials for technical depth and clarity.

PT

Piyawat Thamrongsak

// Mentor, Applied ML

ML practitioner with a background in NLP and structured data modelling. Leads code reviews on Track 02 and mentors capstone learners.

SA

Supannee Arunchit

// Learner Experience

Trained educator with seven years in tech training. Shapes how content is presented and makes sure the learning environment is clear and supportive.

How We Keep the Quality Consistent

Curriculum Review Cycle

Track content is reviewed and updated every six months. Where libraries or tools change, exercises and examples are updated to match current practice.

Data Privacy

Learner data is stored securely and never sold or shared with third-party advertisers. We follow Thai PDPA guidelines for all personal information handling.

Mentor Qualification

All mentors have demonstrated practical ML experience and complete an internal onboarding process covering feedback techniques and learner communication standards.

Assignment Feedback Standards

Code reviews follow a structured rubric — not just pass/fail, but specific, actionable comments on logic, structure, and style that help you improve the next submission.

Accessibility Commitment

Platform materials are designed for screen readers and keyboard navigation. Transcripts are available for all video content, and written explanations accompany every code example.

Continuous Improvement

Learner feedback after each track module feeds directly into content improvements. Patterns in common questions become new explanations or additional worked examples.

AI Development Education Built Around How People Actually Learn

Synapseir's approach to AI development education comes from a clear starting point: most learners don't need more content — they need better structure and someone to ask when things don't click. The programs here are built around that idea.

Python is the foundation across all three tracks, not because it's the only tool for machine learning but because it's the most practical entry point and the language learners will actually use when working with data, models, and pipelines. Exercises connect directly to real workflows — loading data, cleaning it, training a model, interpreting what comes out.

At the applied level, Track 02 moves into the kind of work that shows up in data team discussions: feature engineering choices, model selection trade-offs, evaluation metrics that mean something in context. The focus stays on understanding and skill rather than shortcut recipes.

The Mentorship & Capstone program is designed for learners who want to work through a substantial project with expert guidance. Projects vary widely — some learners focus on text data, some on tabular datasets, some on time-series problems. The common thread is a mentor who knows the territory and can help you navigate it at your own pace.

Synapseir is based in Bangkok and serves learners throughout Thailand and Southeast Asia. All programs are delivered online, in English, with async support and one-to-one sessions available depending on the track.
